Can you help with our next step?

Hello friends!

I wanted to be in touch, as we begin our summer, to see if anyone would be able to help us with our goal of becoming a not-for-profit.

Our next step is finding an attorney would would be willing to volunteer to help us prepare and file some documents. If there is a member of your congregation, or if you know someone who would be willing to help in this way, please let me know as soon as you can.

I appreciate this support so that we can move forward with our mission and work in our community!

Gratefully,

Nadja

April 15th NPPOC Meeting

Hi Friends,
Our next NPPOC meeting will be April 15th, from 10-noon at Keystone Fellowship Church, 427 Stump Rd. North Wales.
Mental health continues to be an important issue in our society and the Church must be equipped to know how to serve, love, care for and lead those with mental health issues.
In our April meeting Dave Eckert will discuss the role of the Church regarding mental health, and provide best practices to help those in our congregations who struggle with mental health issues. In addition, he will offer ways for pastors and community leaders to stay mentally healthy in the midst of demands of our unique callings. Dave is associate pastor of Grace Community Church (Chalfont), and serves as the Director of Mental Health Support Services and Spiritual Care Program at ACCESS Services.
As always, you and anyone else you know are welcome to attend our meeting. Please consider joining us afterward for lunch at an area restaurant.

Greetings NPPOC,

Volunteers in Motion is only 4 weeks away!

Thank you for working together to impact our community.  We have many good projects lined up and many who are already signed up to help.  Please be praying that the united body of Jesus will  show His love to our community in a special way on April 18th.

Would you be able to make a special effort over the next few weeks to encourage people to sign up to help on April 18th?    We would love to see 500 people working together.    To see this happen, we need you to use your platform to influence as many people as you can.  We could also use some more service projects.  Is there an organization or an individual who could use a few hours on help on a Saturday morning?  Please let us know.

Please take a look at the Reminder List below for your planning.  Thank you again for promoting this NPPOC event!

Grace & Peace,

VIM team

An event for youth and young adult leaders

Frank Johnston from Sanctuary UMC wants to share information about a luncheon seminar for youth pastors and leaders coming up on April 30th.

“This event is for anyone working with teens and college age young adults. It will be a time of encouragement and equipping from a “friend in the trenches.” Brock will share stories, thoughts and insights from his new book, Youth Ministry in a Post-Christian World: A Hopeful Wake-up Call.”

January Meeting

Hello Friends!

I wanted to invite you all to join us for our January NPPOC meeting next week on Thursday, 1/22 at 10am. We will be meeting at Trinity Lutheran Church (1000 W Main St. Lansdale).

We will be hearing from a representative from Victims Services about issues such as domestic violence and victims of other crimes, as we think on the tragic events that shook up our community recently.

We also want to ask that you come to this meeting prepared to sign up for your church to host one of the meetings in this new year. Currently, the dates we’re looking at are:

Wed, 2/18; Tues, 3/17; Wed, 4/15; and Thurs, 5/14.

If you’re able, please consider a few dates that might work in case others want to sign up for the same day.

We look forward to gathering with you all next week!

December Meeting

Greetings during this season of Advent.

Our next North Penn Partnership of Churches meeting will be this Thursday December 11th from 10am to noon at  Bridge Community Church (983 Allentown Rd. Lansdale)

We will be having a more low-key time together to slow down, reflect and be with one another as this time of year can be quite full for pastors and church leaders.

Feel free to join us for an optional lunch afterward immediately following our meeting. And, as always, feel free to invite other pastors, community leaders and leaders from your churches. We’d love for them to join with us.

Grace and peace,

NPPOC Directional Team
